So the other day my sibling got a new gaming laptop here's the link https://www.amazon.com/Dell-G3-15-3579-i7-8750H-Processor/dp/B07F7YTGPD/ref=asc_df_B07F7YTGPD/?tag=bingshoppinga-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=%7Bcreative%7D&hvpos=%7Badposition%7D&hvnetw=o&hvrand=%7Brandom%7D&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=%7Bdevicemodel%7D&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4583589102039221&psc=1

Now although it says on the amazon page that it comes with windows 10 it actually came with ubuntu os which we thought is ok we'll just install a copy of windows now as we were installing it we noticed we can only install it on the 1tb hdd not the toshiba nvme ssd. So we proceeded to install it on the hdd  and then booted into windows to find why are ssd wasnt detected and we also found out that it wasnt detected as a drive at all. Mind you ubuntu was installed on that ssd so we basically have 2 os on the same pc but i am not sure how to format the ssd so we can remove ubuntu and make the ssd detectable as it is not detected as a drive(ex. Drive E, Drive F) so i cant format it but its detected on the device manager.

Any help would be appreciated

Does the ssd appear in disk management?

If it does then just reformat it from there...create a bootable Ubuntu USB (or windows, idk what OS you want to use)...then install it to intall to the NVME ssd and reformat the hdd afterwards.

it appears but when i right click theres no option for format. The ssd isnt detected when i try to put my os and that is because there is already an os in the ssd that i cant remove

@Jacobtechtips?

Generally, even if it already has an os on it, it should still be visible...i've reformatted ssd's/hdd's that already have the os on them and it has worked fine. I think it might be something to do with the firmware that dell puts on it (maybe?)
