Rig for Racing - Help

So i'm planning to build a new PC, it will be mostly for Racing Sims (  iracing /rfactor / Asseto Corsa ) and I just want to make sure I'm going in the right direction. Here is the setup i am going for 
Ryzan 5 2600
8gb DDR4 3000MHz Vengeance LPX 

gigabyte B450M 
Corsair VS550 550 W

Sandisk SSD Plus 240GB

( probably GTX 1060 6GB  ) 

 

What do you guys think, will this do ? anything I should add or take away. all input is welcome and appreciated.

Looks pretty solid to me, but are you going to be gaming at 1080p or 1440p? Also, I would try to get another 8gb stick because 16gbs is a great creature comfort especially when I see windows using 3 or 4gbs during idle these days.

What is your total budget for this build?

also I advise 16GB of ram and a different power supply as that one is crappy. 

 

Something like a corsair RMx series or be quiet 11 

and why a 1060? We have Vega 56, 1660Ti, 2060 and new Navi cards being released 7/7

My budget for a GPU is about £120-£150 so was going to grab one off e-bay. I will now be adding 16gb of ram over the 8 I originally wanted.
for the parts, my budget is around £300 - £350 ( not including the GPU - case  - ect )

The price of the Specs above are £301 off amazon UK.
for a while. He will be using it for mostly race sims... and knowing him a bit of fallout
