Defective Bios flashing?

Go to solution Solved by ranshaa05,

I asked the same question on the intel community forums and someone sait that the thumb drive has to be FAT32 and also be plugged in to a USB 2.0 interface. this method worked, thankfully :)

hi, so i own a dh77eb Intel board and it seems to have something wrong with its bios, so i tried updating it to the latest version by all three ways: through the windows utility, .BIO file and recovery mode. the windows utility refused to start saying that it cannot run on legacy boards, the .BIO file just froze the computer when i tried to flash it and when i set the board to recovery mode it just turned the fans to 100% continuously and displayed nothing.

does anybody have a fix for this?

You could try removing the CMOS battery for about 15 minutes with the computer off. Also, try recover mode again by moving the jumper and copying the .BIO file to a flash drive. If neither work, sadly, if the BIOS is corrupted, there is not much you can do at that point.
