Need a laptop!!

Hi,

I am from the UK and I will be starting university in September. I was having trouble finding what laptop to buy. I am doing a CS(Computer science) course so I know that it has to be minimum 8gb of ram.At the moment I was thinking about the LG gram 15(£950 ,$1200) but some reviews say I should expect better hardware for that price and I am not too worried about it having dedicated GPU as I have a PC.

Preferred max weight and min battery life? Mind low sRGB display and non-upgradeable RAM?

Low sRGB is not a problem , I would prefer upgradable ram for the future.

As long as its not more than 1.5-1.7kg its good and min battery life of about 5-7 hours.

I would prefer to have windows compared to mac.. I will be dual booting some form of linux but not really a fan of the mac laptops.

Don’t think you can really boot Linux from a new Mac now with the T2 chip unless things have changed.
