Well I tried, the pc crashed as soon as the game started, but before it crashed I saw the speed go up to almost 1900 Hz in the GPU, and I have no idea why, that is way over the boost speed, the options in msi afterburner show no OC, now is no showing video after the boot menu so I cant try it again.

Sounds like the card is faulty. See if you have a warranty on it!

The PC is new and I've build it myself, everything was working well until last week when I changed the monitor for one with a refresh rate of 144hz. At first there were crashes very rarely while playing games, but one day they started to get more frequent. Then when I restarted the PC the monitor displayed a message stating no signal, whit the lights of the pc turned on, and the fans spinning. Sometimes when the pc restarts,  the start is normal but when I open a game it crashes almost instantly, I tried updating the drivers and BIOS, but the problem persisted.

  • OS - Windows 10 x64
  • Is a fresh install from windows page( i dont activate windows yet)
  • Age of system (hardware) recent build, no more than 2 months
  • Age of OS installation - no more than 2 months
  • CPU model I78700k
  • Video Card model Zotac RTX 2070 8GB GDDR6 ZT-T20700E-10P
  • MotherBoard - gigabyte z390 ud
  • Power Supply - corsair 550w 80+ bronze cx550m

Hi, no OC, everything is as default

Can you open your favorite choice hardware monitor (I personally like MSI Afterburner for my GPU & OpenHardwareMonitor for my CPU) and try to run some tests with opening games that crash frequently and send me the screenshots after showing the temps and the speeds they're running at!

I suspected that it could be the problem, another possibility that I was trying to discard is that the PSU doesn't have enough power. But I don't have another to try.

Thanks for the help, I will send the GPU for the warranty.

If you want see if you can order a cheap one with higher wattage just for testing.
