Hi,

I've recently moved and I am forced to use wifi instead of a wired connection. My PC doesn't have wifi, and at the moment I don't have any adapters. So I decided to use my phone (Lenovo P1m), and internet via USB. The phone is connected to a front USB 2.0 port. The connection works fine when browsing the web, however, when I'm gaming, windows often makes a sound that a device has been (dis)connected. It seems to happen in all games, maybe when the PC is busy as it happened in Far Cry 3 singleplayer as well. One game made the sound + threw the following error - WSAENETUNREACH.

The signal is not the strongest (2/4 bars). The connection itself is on the slow side, but there's nothing I can do about it, the place only has a single ISP.

PC Specs:

CPU: Intel Pentium G3460
RAM: 6 GB DDR3
MB: MSI H81-P33

Should I get a proper adapter, or is the problem somewhere else (router, pc) ?

EDIT: The disconnecting is fixed. I just pugged the phone into a rear usb port (3.0)

Get a proper adapter, the combination of tethering and the frequent updates through another device is probably messing with shit, you can get an ok wifi adapter for a decent price, just make sure it supports the same WiFi version as the router for the best connection and stability.
