Laptop for Computer Engineering student.

Hi,

Currently I am a computer engineering student. My current laptop can't even run java IDE smoothly. And there are courses like AI, machine learning, Natural Language processing in future. I also need to use Android Studio for project work next semester.

I'm looking for a laptop that would last me at least 4 years.( 2.5 years till graduation and after a year or two in job or if I persue higher degree).

I would like a laptop that would get the job done fairly.

Weight and battery life is not important. Windows machine. Screen size at least 15.6". I would like to be able to play offline games like Assassin's Creed, witcher , middle earth and also PUBG.

I'll be buying from US and my budget is $1300. I'll be glad if I can save money though.

Currently I'm looking dell G5 5590 which is going on a sale for $1129 that has a 9750h , 1660ti, 144hz display, 8gb ram, 256gb ssd, 1 tb hdd.

Also Lenovo y740 15" base model is on sale for about $1350

Please let me know your suggestions.

Thank you.
