Posted May 20, 2019 So I have an EPSON EB-W02 that makes a sound like a jet engine when it's turned on and it heats up drastically, I've been looking to replace the fan inside but I'm not sure what fan to buy Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/1065533-help-projector-fan-replacement/ Share on other sites
 Posted May 20, 2019 Have you checked for clogged filters or dirty heatsinks? The fan will be selected to adequately cool the bulb - which it is trying to do, apparently. Putting in a quieter fan will likely shorten the life of the bulb. I would check the manual for maintenance procedures before modifying the projector. Screwdriver specs: Long, pointy. Turns things. Some kind of metal. The projector is 6 years old and I've lost the manual Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/1065533-help-projector-fan-replacement/#findComment-12582140 Share on other sites
