Google Drive duplicates

So I got my Iphone backed up to Google Drive and I did it once more as I had new photos and when checking my Google Drive there are duplicate photos in the term .Heic and duplicate removal software does not work as the original photos are .jpg what should I do and is there any way to prevent this in the future?

Yeah, iPhones don't tend to play well with Drive. Sorry to hear about your situation, but as far as I know, if duplicate removal software doesn't work (I recommend Google's own Files app for clearing duplicates), then there isn't much you can do. To prevent it from happening again in future backups to Drive, I would also recommend simply creating a separate folder for the backup, if you have enough space on your drive. Hopefully one day, we can get Apple to play nicely with Google!

Well thanks for the info but kinda bummed on that well guess I can only wish for that to happen
