Its got a wire on each side for obvious comfort and better feel.  You can unplug the wires and change it if it gets messed up.  It comes with a mini jack and a 1"4 jack.  Btw I hope you know the 800 or 800s is a couple thousand dollars.  You would need to sell a used car or a body part to get it.  As you can see what I have in my signature.  I do my recording and my mixing with these babys.  It has a flat response and is used as monitor headphones in high end studios.  The 650 and 700 are the same thing except 700 design or cosmetics are different.

I mean is this cable https://en-ca.sennheiser.com/connecting-cable-coiled-hd6-hd7-hd8, the same as this one https://en-us.sennheiser.com/kbl-momentum. They seem to have the same locking mechanism but I don't know for sure
