Budget cpu

Looking for a cpu under 160 perferably with a cooler. Plan to stream and play so I was thinking the Ryzen 5 2600. Thoughts?

2600 is the supreme value CPU, it's not under $160 (save for in store deals or sales) but a small increase to budget gets you what you need

look around for the 1600 too, I've seen it really cheap at microcentre for example

Do you think I should get that, and if yes what cooler would you recommend? I would like to at least try a mild oc but I dont want a cooler that would cost more than me just buying a 2600.

if you can find a good deal on it, for sure. the 2600 gives some nice improvements, but there seem to be a lot of sales around the 1600

 

something like a arctic freezer 34 esports duo, cooler master 212 black (rgb/edition) or be quiet pure rock should be really nice, but the stock cooler is pretty good already

Comes with wraith spire, it is better than the included wraith stealth on the 2600.

@LukeSavenije @Plutosaurus how much OC do you think I can get with a wraith spire? I know its kinda silicone lottery but just wanna know cuz it starts out on 3.2 ghz which is kinda low

I have my 1600 on the spire at 3.8 stock voltage. It runs fine
