What would the Linux pendrive let me do? Access files or?

Yes, if the drive still ok then you can access it thru live Linux.

Seem like either bad sector or partition table messed up.

PC crashed while playing games, upon rebooting it started scan+repairing my C drive (SSD), froze then crashed again and gave me an NTFS error. I tried to reinstall Windows on my second hd (HDD) but it wouldn't let me saying it was the wrong partition type. Also it didn't find Windows installed on either hd to repair from

Computer was old and I was in the market for a new one anyways, but I'm wondering if

1-my hard drives are corrupt

2-if they are, is there any way to salvage the data

3-if not, how would I access them from this or a potential new system

PC specs (unsure if needed)
CPU- i5-3570 @3.4GHz

RAM- 8 Gb DDR3

GPU-Nvidia 640Ti

PSU-Thermaltake 600W

MoBo- Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H

SSD-1 Tb Samsung 850 evo

HDD- 1Tb WD Blue

Probably dying/ded hdd. You can try create live linux pendrive if you have another working pc.

Error message about GPT/MBR shit? Try delete all partition from that drive or boot with UEFI support it the HDD partition type is GPT or Legacy if it MBR.

Ok, is there a good guide on how to go about that? Never really messed with Linux before

You gonna need at least a 4GB usb drive that doesn't have any important file in it.

Download this linux image. https://manjaro.org/download/cinnamon/

Then use Rufus or UnetBootin to create a bootable pendrive. (all usb drive data will be lost)
https://rufus.ie | https://unetbootin.github.io

Then just boot with that drive you just created.

And that'll let me access the hd like normal? (Assuming its not completely wrecked)

Yes, use the file manager and select Other Location in left pane of file manager.
