What do you guys think of the Y540?

I was looking to get a new laptop soon and was looking at the lenovo y540. I'm open to other laptops around $2000aud. I'm planning to use it for studying, gaming and light 3d rendering on solidworks. Just wondering if you guys think it is a good system or if theres anything better to suit the applications that I'll be using it for?

It's basically the same with Y530. Need to wait whether the cooling solution can tame those 9th gen CPU and 16 series cards

 

Honestly speaking, 9th gen+16 series laptops will probably launch on 23rd, therefore I suggest you to hold on the purchase. Buy later
