Hi,

I was wondering what should I be looking for when I am getting a computer for photo/video editing? I will be using photoshop/premiere.

I am guessing the CPU and the GPU are important. Which one is more important? How much does CUDA help with rendering?

What I am wondering is if it is worth it to upgrade to a GTX 1050 instead of a mx250 when I am looking to do video editing.
Thoughts on AMD?

Where are you from? Budget? Any preference on weight and battery life? Need good sRGB display?

I am from UK. I have been looking at laptops, but I was wondering if you can help me answer those questions.

I have a budget of 1000 pounds. A good display would be a bonus. Portability and battery life are not of importance.

CPU is more important, especially for photo editing. I'd say the 1050 is worth it.  No thoughts on AMD.  I'd prioritize getting an H series Intel CPU (or 8th Gen U if I'm budget restricted), then display quality, then RAM quantity, then drive speed, then GPU, then thinness, then everything else.

Prefer regular laptop / Ultrabook or gaming / performance laptop?
