I was more worried on stability and end user link security, as I need to be able to program a site lock. Encryption to run 24/7, and a security software I'm not used to that's supposed to be connected to the principal's home system

The Inner Cyber Security inside me twitched when you mentioned a software connected to a home computer from the principal, usually a person thats fairly Awful with computers and causes more intrusions then most people know.

All of that should be fine, None of that sounds like it would be an issue.

I'm doing a system for the school principal using (intra-link) as a interconnected system, the system would also have to play the part as a server router as well. A total of 115 computers will be connected with the server, we have a stand alone server in the school, I was thinking of using the system as a control panel do I need to go threadripper or will mainstream processors be enough to handle the work.

If I'm going mainstream would using the R7 2700X or ye I9 9900k make any difference?

Honestly if you consider the 9900k, you could easily get a TR 1950x CPU, which could handle that with ECC memory. Should be fine :)

I know that's why I also asked if the ryzen r7 2700x be able to handle it?

ECC memory is key here though, if running a server environment id rather have ECC just to be safe :D Depends on the workload of the school and how many calls are going to the cpu, having 12-16 cores or more make it much easier to handle that. Not sure if 8 cores would simply be enough, since there would be a need for list of programs and stuff used, server software, all users, etc. But just in general from what ive seen it can work, but nothing guranteed with a 2700x.

Thanks sir I'll get the threadripper with ECC ram then for safety concerns, thank you for the advice, first time doing such a big project.
