So my friend and I are building a computer for him because his laptop broke.

The specs are:

Intel i5-6600k (this was my old cpu, which i sold to him with the motherboard)

Gigabyte GA-Z170M-D3H

Delta T force 16Gb (2x8gb) 3000mhz DDR4

MSI Gaming X GeForce GTX 1660 Ti

Cooler Master MasterWatt 550w PSU 80+ bronze

We ran it without the GPU, on onboard graphics and it worked fine. However, after we installed the GPU all inside the case, it turned on like it usually does, all the fans worked normally, but it wouldn't boot and I couldn't get to the bios, my monitor said "No Signal". I reset the CMOS. And made sure everything was plugged in correctly again. And still nothing, the fans all spin up, all the lighting turns on (including the LEDs on the GPU).

Any help would be appreciated.

do you have another system you could run the GPU in to see if it still works?

if it does then the slot could be dead on the board perhaps?

I don't currently have another system to test with... But just earlier today before I took apart my PC it was running fine, with the same CPU/MB with an R9 390X graphics card in the same slot?

(He bought the CPU/MB of me, and the rest are new parts)

Put the GPU and run onboard Graphics and hop into device manager see if its being detected.

Doesn't work, even when I plug the HDMI into the motherboard (IGPU), and the 1660 Ti is installed it won't boot, and I can't get to BIOS. But all fans and LEDs are working properly...

Post codes or leds?

Can you hear it go into windows?

Did you set the igpu as primary then install the gpu and keep the monitor plugged into the mobo?

Did you cycle the input on the monitor when connected to the gpu?
