Laptop cpu bottleneck?

Hi, I was wondering if the CPU on my laptop is being a bottleneck to my system, sometimes I would feel some lag, particularly in chromium edge(dev) when opening multiple new tabs, the website in the other tab would take a while to load, internet speed is 30MBPS up and down fiber

If that's a hard drive, it's your bottleneck. Get an SSD and see what happens

 

Dont think CPU is a bottleneck even if it's an SSD, web browsing dont use much CPU power

It's already on an SSD(Samsung 850 Evo), the screenshot above shows the CPU usage 

 

launching chromium edge in private mode shows upon startup, my CPU hits 100%(no extension)

 

the same goes with chrome( incognito mode) - with a few extension, cpu hits 100% too

That i5 has 2 cores 4 threads, it's like a desktop i3 - simply browsing shouldn't be such a hard job for the CPU. it might reach 100% once the browser is being opened, but once it loads it should normalize. Maybe some malware or broken Windows?

Yup after it loads, it normalize itself and doesn’t get pin to 100% till I open a new tab with a new website( at least based on my testing )

How about the CPU temperatures?

The CPU temperature does fluctuate but it's at least 60

 

am I supposed to expect the tabs on a web browser to load slower when I click open it to a new tab and don't look at it for a moment and also how to tell if it's a CPU bottleneck, most example online is about gaming, what about normal workload?

I meant temperatures under load, not idle. Cause your CPU might be throttling.

Aida writes there was some throttling. I don't know how severe it was, but I do know that the Tjunction of the i5 3337U is above 100°C meaning it hasn't exceeded the safe temperatures.

 

Well, you might want to replace the CPU in the laptop with a supported but stronger used CPU. Or you could replace the laptop.

Or learn to live with it after you do all in your power to make it work as smooth as it can (cleaning it, replacing thermal paste and pads, using a cooling stand, undervolting it, ...).

How do I under volt or over clock my laptop cpu ? 

 

Also if I want to revert to stock, is it possible?

I used a program called Notebook Hardware Control (NHC) to undervolt my laptop, but that was on a laptop I used from 2006 to 2012. I don't know if that programs till works and how it behaves on newer hardware.
