I have been waiting...and waiting...and waiting for the 16TB drives to come out.  I know they are said to be released this year, but they were supposed to come out last year.  So, while I have the money on hand, I have pretty much decided to take the plunge on a 14TB.  I have an 8-bay enclosure filled with 8TB drives now.  But I experienced problems recently with drives going bad.  It's amazing the number of drives that developed issues in a short period of time.  I even replaced the enclosure over it (with a newer version of the same model that offers a Type C connection).

Anyway, speed is nice, but I am really after reliability.  I have been reading online, and there seems to be little support for NAS drives specifically.  I have rounded up some options:

Most affordable of the 14TB drives.  Says Enterprise Drive.- $460

https://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-14TB-SATA-7200RPM-Enterprise/dp/B07DHY61JP/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=14tb+hard+drive&qid=1554939526&refinements=p_36%3A20000-60000&rnid=386442011&s=pc&sr=1-3

Also Toshiba, but NAS instead of Enterprise - $509

$10 more than the most affordable...says Datacenter drive - $470

https://www.amazon.com/Western-Digital-14TB-Ultrastar-HC530/dp/B07KPL474H/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=14tb+hard+drive&qid=1554939526&refinements=p_36%3A20000-60000&rnid=386442011&s=pc&sr=1-5

Surveillance HD - $480

https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Skyhawk-14TB-Surveillance-Drive/dp/B07H58K255/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=14tb+hard+drive&qid=1554939526&refinements=p_36%3A20000-60000&rnid=386442011&s=pc&sr=1-9

This is the most expensive of the options I am looking at.  This one is a NAS drive.  I have read that these RED drives are good, but from what I am gathering, there doesn't seem to be much support for NAS drives being superior in general, but it's always possible the sources I have read are wrong.  :). - $523 or $537 (as far as I can tell, these seem to be the exact same drive...not sure why there's a difference in price)

https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-IronWolf-7200RPM-Internal-3-5-Inch/dp/B07H4VBRKW/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=14tb+hard+drive&qid=1554939526&refinements=p_36%3A20000-60000&rnid=386442011&s=pc&sr=1-6

Which would you suggest buying and why...so that I can use the same info in the future when deciding.  Thank you in advance for any and all advice.

I keep the enclosure powered on 24/7, though I do allow the drives to spin down when not in use, of course.
