M2 or HDD

NickToye

I guess this comes down to usage right?

i am a coder, but predominantly do that on my Mac and have done for 20 years.

I also write and record music, again have done that on my Mac.

I built my machine so I could get into gaming more, and have an SSD sata, have 2 spare bays for the HDD if I want them.  I also have 2 slots on the motherboard for M2s.

So my question is, do I need to get any HDDs?  Or just go for a decent size M2?

I admit I’m a novice in this kind of stuff, I am enjoying the discovery, but just wondered what the community thought the pros and cons were for getting an M2 over HDD.

Other than speed over price, what other pros and cons are there?

other than speed, SSDs (M.2) are much more reliable than HDDs because they don't have any moving parts. HDDs fail more easily but are cheaper, making them a good option for mass storage

Ok, I just read somewhere that HDD's are still important for storage, so I guess it just comes down to price.
