Hey!

A while back I started getting this "USB is not recognized" popup and it's really annoying

I've already tried taking all USB's out and then put them in one by one to see if it makes any difference. I've tried power regelating them and doing a full reinstallation of Windows 10.

I'm stuck and want to fix this as quick as possible..

Pictures of the device manage & the error message:

error.PNG

The thing is that this error occur randomly and sometimes when I hit the desk. It's really weird and it doesnt popup when connecting a device.

plug in only the ones that you absolutely need. see of the problem still happens.

then plug in something else and check if the problem happens. slowly narrow down which usb is having the problem.

once you find out, try plugging it into another port to see if the problem is with the device or the port.

uninstall that device and restart

I have already tried that. It doesn't make a difference. Seems like this USB isn't giving up

if you search for your exact motherboard model, go to asus website, click on support, and find the bios download. download that and put it on a usb stick. then do a live chat with asus to help you. I dont have a asus motherboard so i dont know how to update it for you.

The option 6 doesnt work. The "Configure Device" option doesnt exist

"Now clean the registry with a reputable program such as CCleaner then take a note of the device/s name and select 'run' from the Windows menu list bottom left."

I dont understand this. I downloaded CCleaner and cleaned the registry but there were not any names / devices

cleaning registry is almost never usefull. also, please for the love of god, do NOT  get a driver updater. they are worse than useless.

i said try option 5 and 6.

in general cleaning registry only helps 0.1% of the time. so dont expect that to always do what a website says.

what i meant by driver updating is that companies sell software to do it for you. never get those (free ones are even worse).

CCleaner is verified, so that shouldn't be a problem?
