Hi Guys!

Soooooo in about a month or so im going to throw about $1300 at a new GPU/GPU's (FINALLY WILL HAVE ENOUGH $$$$$)... I had my heart set on a TITAN for a long time, now alot of the peeps online are saying you'd be better off with a 680 SLi config. Anyone have any opinions on the TITAN good or bad? Or possibly a better alternative for my gaming rig?

Thanks in advance,,,

Well both have there ups and downs.

The GTX 680 SLI solution will provide more frame rates but increase micro-stuttering / frame time.

The GTX Titan - About 80% the performance of a GTX 680 SLI solution with less micro-stuttering / frame time.

Personally, I would go with two AMD Radeon 7970 / 7970 GHz Edition's If micro-stuttering isn't an issue for you.

Faster than a GTX 680 - Cheaper, comes with 6 Games (Buying 2 7900 series GPU's Never Settle Bundle)

Dual 4GB 670's is where I would go and what I'm personally doing. There's about a 10% performance increase going to a 680 however it then costs about 25-40% more so go figure. Also with the Titan, keep in mind that SLI'd 660TI's for $700 can beat it 3 out of 4 times.

Wait until the whole micro-stuttering issues are fixed then get a 7990.
The driver to resolve this farme lag issue is expected out in July......AMD has more or less said so, it'd allow users the option of either max framerate (plus frame lag) or smoother gameplay (but lower framerate). Since AMD has acknowledged this issue and is working on resolving it, I do believe they'd have to keep their word.

I personally like single card configs because they have less problems than multi-gpu configurations. I would wait for the 7990 review and the comparison with the Titan like the people above said before buying a high end card.

I agree^^ a single high end card is great, But any multi card config is always dependent on how great the driver support is.

but the true problem is hardware not software if you had watched/read PC Perspectives findings

AMD states that this is not so much a hardware issue, but more of a software issue.
