What im looking for currently is if i have done something wrong with my setup or if there is in anyway i can uppgrade and or optimalize my current setup.
My current setup is based of stuff i've had since 2014 or so. and im thinking it might start to take its toll atm.

Current setup:

Intel Core i7-8700K                                      2018
ASUS ROG Strix Z370-E Gaming, S1151     2018
HyperX Fury DDR4 2666MHz 16GB             2018
Corsair Hydro Series H115i                          2018
Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB BK OEM    2014
Corsair Force MP500 240GB M.2 SSD        2017
EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 FTW Gaming     2017
Cooler Master MasterCase Pro 5                2014
Samsung 850 EVO 500GB 2.5" SSD           2016
Corsair RM1000, 1000W PSU                     2014

Currently i have not done anything special no raid setup or anything.

I got my Win10 installed on my m.2 drive along with some games.

What would be some decent uppgrades for my setup?

anything i could do different?

Are you unhappy with the performnce that you're getting? System looks good apart mother of all overkill PSU.

Main system: Ryzen 7 7800X3D / Asus TUF Gaming B650-Plus / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 32GB 6000Mhz / Zotac RTX 5090 SOLID OC/ x2 WD_BLACK NS770 2TBs/ Corsair HX1000i/ NZXT H5 Flow

Everything seems fine to me. Maybe you could upgrade the gpu, but it's not that necessary because it's easily good enough to play all games still. That would also require a lot of cash to upgrade the gpu further. The psu is maybe somewhere you could look to since it's been used for 5 years, but again, it's not a bad psu by any means. The ram speed is another area to look at, but again it's not something you desperately need to do. If I was you I wouldn't upgrade at all yet.

I wouldnt say im unhappy per se, but i feel like i should be getting better performance than what i'm getting in some games.

Currently i'm getting:

60-100 fps in wow at 3440x1440 Meduim  - High Settings

60 FPS in division 2 at 3440x1440 - Medium Settings

100 FPs in Apex Legends 1920x1080 - Medium Settings

Could there maybe be any tweaking or overclocking? i could do to make this better? i have no clue how to do any of it. i've tried to look at guids but they all come up withy different numbers so i've been afraid to do anything.

everything is running at stock atm.

The things from 2014 are a case and PSU and a SSD which don't affect performance directly.

OC your 8700K and get a new GPU if you want more performance.
