Is Strix worth it?

Hello, im currently looking to buy a new monitor.

my choices are

https://www.msi.com/Monitor/Optix-MAG271CQR $511.20 - 27 inches 1440p VA 144hz

 

https://www.asus.com/ph/Monitors/ROG-STRIX-XG27VQ/ $459.60 - 27 inches 1080p VA 144hz

 

https://www.asus.com/ph/Monitors/ROG-Strix-XG258Q/ $489.40 - 25 inches 1080p TN 240hz

 

Not sure why strix costs more. im not sure if im getting something worth it that i dont know of.

No, Strix is only more for the brand name. Go with something like a Sceptre, I have had no problems with them. They are cheap and reliable.

Well, which specs do you want? Those are 4 different monitors so it's impossible to compare specs and get some kind of price/performance graph.

 

In my experience, Strix stuff is good but you're paying a lot for the brand name. If budget is a concern basically the same stuff can be had for cheaper from other brands.

im leaning towards VG279Q as its the cheapest and is IPS. my only concern with it is 27inches 1080p. with the MSI its 1440p but cant run it right now. but planning to upgrade soon. and i only play dota2
