Old Drive New System

Hi Ladies and Gentlemenz,

I´m upgrading from my Laptop to a Desktop with one M.2 970 Evo Plus (future C:), SATA 860 Evo (future D:) and one 6TB WD Black(Drive for Games and shit) . My Laptop got one M.2 SSD (now C:)  and some sort of 2,5 HDD (now D:). My Plan is to build all five drives to the new system, boot to the old OS Drive and Clone all to the new Drive (I named all drives look in the top Hard disk enumeration) and then start from the new OS Drive and wipe the old.

I´m pretty sure this should work (expect I have to reactivate Windows but this is ok) but I have read that there could be problems with the software....what do you guys think? (A fresh install would probably take me around 1 week to install and config all the programs...and I really dont wanna do this)

I say give it a go. But If you can't get it to work after a day or two, just do a fresh install and move your programs over.

Maybe there is somebody who already did something like this or somebody who knows a better way to do it.
