Hello everyone

I'm having some "lag" issues with some computers at my work place, they are running win8 32bit and some win10 32bit, as they are for machines that only have 32 drivers to use...

they are out of date, but would upgrading to betters computers fix this lag issue that happens if we still use 32bit OS's?

as when i try to export files it takes so long for the computer to do anything, they jsut have the spinning disc icon that its doing something?

or could this be a network issue? but ive looked at all the cables and they are fine and the switch we use is more than up to doing anything we need.

we use a "server" pc which is just a pc with lots of space that everything is kept on, would upgrading the harddrives speed it up at all? or is it the old computer itself that is slow?

any help would be great, and open to answering any questions i can to get this problem fixed.

So with 32 bit OS you are limited to 4gb of system memory and chances are you are likely using that up easily with everyday tasks and there is where your lag is likely coming from. Yes, at a minimum upgrade your OS to 64 bit to allow memory expansion at the least.

it just happens, when tons of software and configs are installed over time, it lags for most pc.

after some cleaning (software and hardware), it should still be capable of most offic task

yes but upgrading to a 64 OS means that the 32 bit drivers for the machines we use to do our laser work we cant do, as you need a 32bit os for 32bit drivers, is there any way around this at all? maybe virtual machines on a 64os but the VM being 32bit?

well i need to be able to use the 32bit drivers 24/7 and also have stuff like corel draw x4 on the vm at all times also, and can the vm see the network im on? as it will need to do that to see the server and all the files.
