I donno where to post this but it is about a tearing or something like it on friend's screen. This is the image:

He doesn't know what to do. Any concrete reasons why this might happen? PSU? GPU? The monitor is fine by the way tested with another system.

BTW, he is using the HDMI output from HD 7870 but even with the DVI it's still the same he says.

Does he have V-Sync on and what refresh rate is he on?

 

I am not sure, would it matter? Should he check on nvidia control panel?

I don't think that's tearing, it rather looks like a problem with your monitor to me.

 

The monitor has been tested by another pc no problem. That's the strange thing. But wait, he has tested the monitor with another pc with d-sub input. He is going to test it with HDMI input tomorrow I will let you know guys. Thanks for now.
