Internet randomly stops working.

Hello. For the past 6 months my internet randomly stops working for 5 minutes and then comes back. This happens a couple of times a day. The connection is lost on both wireless wifi and ethernet. I have fiberoptic internet. The Router and modem has been changed but the problem hasnt been fixed. When there is connection, internet speeds are as paid for and low latency. I really dont know what to do as the brandwidth service just says check the cable if its plugged in, like i havent done that in 6 months... Any help would mean a lot! Thanks!u

I would try changing the ethernet cable and if it still happens after your new router then its your provider, or you have a botched OS.  Can you give us some more info on what OS you use and your hardware specs and what not.
