Logitech headphones

My logitech headset with a mic is not working. I mean the sound is working but the mic is not even listed in the recordings is showing microphone and if i check the properties its showing that is plugged in the red/pink jack but the sound bar that is jumping from white to green is not showing nothing but white. I dont know the problem i updated the drivers and everything If I plug my web cam with USB connector the mic is working normally but when I try to use mic on headset its just doesnt work....
