Well, do you want open or closed? and seeing as you listen to rap, would you prefer having "a lot" of bass? would you be using them with your phone? if not, what is your motherboard?

I was looking for the Shure SRH440, and also 840 pads (HPAEC840) which are amazing for the price, but couldn't find the pads in any of those stores.

however, keep in mind that you might run into issues running the normal DT990's (most are 250 ohm) off of your onboard, you may need an amp. you could also use something like a Xonar DG, but not that good as they get interference and aren't very friendly towards low impedance headphones.

EDIT: also, the DT990's are open, FYI

I have an amp that is rated for 8000 ohm (lol is that even possible?) ^^

ah, I had to get pics of the side of the Console thing to see it. Well, I'm getting mixed google results, so you could just get the DT990's and see how it is, try both onboard and the console thing. if it's bad, you could get a FiiO E10, or maybe an o2 amp, there is a swiss "company" selling them: http://www.headnhifi.com/objective2

Holy balls, that price on the DT990. Well, that'll be worth it! Thumbs up from me! (Got the DT990 + FiiO E10)

Everything I post is based of bits and pieces I've read somewhere else.

I have most likely never tested any of the things I recommend or advise against.

Think of me as a information relay, I read it, process it, then post it.
