Plenty.

If you give us more details about your system. How long you've had the GFX card, etc.

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

I have had the card a few years but not too long the card is the dual fan windforce gtx 960 4gb if that helps

And the rest of your system, what are those specs, and how old are the parts?

What changed or happened before the GFX card stopping outputting video?

Ok nothing changed just wouldn’t display one morning. It’s actually an older gpu my other parts are new, Ryzen 5 2600 msi atx tomahawk, Samsung 860 evo 450 watt PSU anything else you need?

it works with my friends 1070 but not my 960

If the system powers up with the 1070, but not with the 960, I'd say the 960 is toast.

If you are sure all power is plugged in properly, then the video card probably needs replacing.

Have you cleaned it out of dust/dirt lately?

So your friend's GPU works in your system, but does your GPU work in your friend's system?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

My gpu does not work in his system also I am not looking to replace the card only if there is a way I could potentially fix the card as the fans still spin there’s power going through the card

Well, aside from the fans, there are no moving parts. If the GPU is toast, it's toast and no amount of cleaning/hoping is gonna fix that.

Now, having said that, you *could* try taking it apart, cleaning up the old thermal paste, applying new stuff and seeing what happens.

BUT BEFORE YOU DO THAT.....

I assume you put the GFX card in another system (a known good one) and tested to make certain it's the problem?

Yes I tried on my friends pc and it didn’t work so I could try reapply thermal paste but that’s not that likely to fix it, any other methods or that it

Again, solid state chips, you can't pop those out and resolder in new ones, these sort of cards aren't designed to be repaired by mortal men.
