Just wondering if anyone knows where i can get a socket 2011 motherboard ddr3 for a reasonable price as my p9x79pro is starting to go (one of the pci-e slots is failing) and dont want to break the bank by upgrading the whole mb/proc/ram

look into the classified section I would suggest, together with the general stuff (ebay, craigslist)

thanks Luke, have been looking and tbh there aren't that many around not at a reasonable cost anyway

they used to be quite exclusive, that's probably why

 

x58 is still going around 100 bucks even today, just because of the xeons you can fit in it
