2080 - Low GPU utilization

Go to solution Solved by Mason Fraser,

Back on topic, it sounds like it's a driver conflict, remove all nvidia drivers, do a google on how to purge them, reboot the system, install the correct drivers again.

Didn't work for me unfortunately. The GPU is still at 40% Load in COD 4 Blackout and the CPU is running at 80-90%.The only way to put the gpu at 100% is by increasing rendering to 200. But that won't allow me to hit high fps and the cpu still runs around 70-80%. Is there anyway to make sure that my processor is the bottleneck?

I'd like to avoid spending unnecessary money.

I'm currently trying the same settings as Shroud. Link below. I used to get the around 90-100 fps on my GTX 970 and I'm getting the same or lower fps with the same settings.

Here is my System:

I7 4790K with a Corsair CW-9060014-WW Hydro Series H110 280mm Rad Extreme Performance

MSI Z97-GD65-GAMING - INTEL LGA1150 Z97 GAMING 4*DDR3

RTX 2080 MSI Gaming X Trio

HyperX HX318C10FRK2/16 FURY 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) 1866 MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM

Monitor is a Asus ROG Swift PG258Q

PSU - NOX Urano VX 650

Lol, shouldn’t be using a 2080 with a 4790k.

Check the per core cpu usage while playing.

Prolly looks something like this.
