NETWORK BROKEN

Fixed this by updating windows using an ISO file. 

Uninstalled Nord VPN because Windows wouldn't allow me to change my network settings. still didn't work so I uninstalled both of my ethernet controllers in Device manager. 

 

Windows gave me error code 56, and the VPN menu in the settings app is frozen, neither ethernet ports are approvable. 

list of my troubleshooting steps:

legend:  (NR == no result, R == result)

 

restarted multiple times: NR

reinstall Nord then remove: NR

update drivers manually: NR

update drivers using installer: NR

update drivers using installer in safe mode: NR

update drivers manually in safe mode: R (said it failed but Intel port (ethernet two) stopped giving error code 56 (internet still didn't work though) 

attach ethernet USB: NR (not even recognized)

Flash Update Bios: NR

Reset Windows: NR (unable to reset)

network troubleshoot: NR

registry repair tools: NR

Network repair tool: NR

Reset network: NR

Bluetooth Dongles: NR (Do not work)

SFC scan: R (100% complete, No integrity violations)

DISM: NR FAILED 

 

We are trying to set up a network and without the computer, it is impossible, been working on this for 4 hours.
