Hi I'm thinking about upgrading to a 1070 from a 1060 3gb? Is it worth it? I'm getting it for 250 2nd hand, I only have a 1080p@75hz display arm but will be upgrading to a 144hz soon, I have a i7 6700 now and will a 500w power supply be enough for the 1070, and also how long would the 1070 last me for.

Thanks

For 1080p 144Hz, the 1070 is quite good right now, at mix of medium/high.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Yeah I only really play esports games, would it last me like 3 years?

esports most likely won't be getting more demanding graphically, they're known for being non demanding titles.

If you are getting it for 250 bucks the defiently yes it worth upgrading.

Also 500w PSU is sufficient for your build
