Megalodon Razer headset problem

Go to solution Solved by StareX,

Okay here is what you can do.

Go behind your PC and pull out the USB and replace it with 2 empty USB slots, but USB 2.0 not 3.0 .. I don't know why, but you can't have another USB device next to the USB of the Megalodon, it gives me.. problems.

Now, you can also click on the middle button, with the Razer logo, glowing blue one for 10 seconds, and it will reset your audio settings and mic settings to the factory settings.

Good?

I have this game Metro : Last Light.

Now, the head phones I am using are the Megalodon razer headset 7.1

This has to do with either the game or the headset.

I have played numerous games and not have had a problem with sound being like this.

I have only found one or two posts about this problem, and one of them was about using the similar headset and having the same problem.

When in-game, when I face the character that is speaking to me, it is muffled, but when i turn slightly to the right or left, it sounds right, and when I turn fully around, it sounds like they are in front of me.

I need help with this because it makes the game very annoying to play.

I do have the driver updated, windows updated. [ Using windows 7 32bit ]

There are settings on the headphones that allow me to switch from 2.0 to 7.1 surround, even though when you are in 2.0, it still in surround, just because that is how the headphones work, it is just compacted more instead of more spread out like in 7.1

Problem is, I do not know if it is the games fault for being like that [ since I have not seen a lot about this problem ], or just the headset being all weird about this.

Can I get any solutions?

That sounds very much like the surround sound isn't processing correctly. Are you sure you can't just turn the 7.1 off completely, that headset only has two drivers I thought? Does the game itself have audio profiles like "speakers" or "headphones"?

Case: Meatbag, humanoid - APU: Human Brain version 1.53 (stock clock) - Storage: 100TB SND (Squishy Neuron Drive) - PSU: a combined 500W of Mitochondrial cells - Optical Drives: 2 Oculi, with corrective lenses.

When I go into the sound mixer, and playback devices, then my headset, it only has 7.1. I was told that's just what the headset that I am using does, stay in 7.1. And yes driver what not. The game has no options for speakers or headphones. The only audio options it has is the master volume and ambient sounds.
