The Netgear Nighthawk IS reliable though.  I installed one of the OG models in a commercial setting a number of years back, and it still works perfectly to this day.

One I used was an R8000

AFAIK R7000 and R6900 are also good.

Get R7000 if you think you will want to dabble in open source firmware later.

Get R6900 if you just want something that works.

Just make sure to check reviews out for whichever one you are going to get.

Browsing around support forums for the device is also a good idea, see what problems people have with it.
