I am a video editor who uses an imac as my main work station but windows keyboards as my peripherals. I have been able to use programs like Karabiner to remap these keybaords so they work with the mac keyboard layout, but the program is limited and doesn't offer input changes like modifier keys (i.e. I can remap "1" on my num pad to "A" but not "Cmd+A".

Are there any other mac users out there that can recommend any programs to help with more intricate macros/ re-mappings? Especially programs that allow for multiple independent keyboards.

If so, whats your configuration? I'm always curious to see what people use.

I guess this isn't a direct answer to your question, but what I do at work where I have to switch a lot between osx and windows is I have an ergo-dox keyboard and I've got one layer of it set up for windows and one for osx, then whnever I swap I also swap the layer of the keyboard.
So on the osx layer ctrl will be swapped for cmd, for instance. But the nice thing with an ergodox is that it can be set up exactly as you want it, and with a bunch of layers if you want to.
The ergo-dox has a matric key layout though which takes a while to get used to. But I am sure there are a lot of programmable keyboards out there similar to the ergo-dox that you can do something similar with.
