Help regarding monitors

I've been looking out for monitors lately that I'd be primarily be using for esports titles and indie games and I've narrowed down my search down to The Asus VG248QE (£210) and The BenQ XL2430 (£300). I was wondering if the BenQ monitor was worth the extra £90-ish because I'm not too knowledgeable about these types of things. Any info is appreciated!

Since you brought up a curved display, what's the appeal towards them? I don't see any benefits other than an awkward shape.

It's not that awkward and when I had a curved monitor it was quite nice.

I'm deep into researching a new monitor as well.

 

Everything I've seen about the VG248QE states that it is a very nice panel for the price....... however it is a very old model released in 2013 I believe.

Why dont you checkout Asus VG248QE. Although this monitor is quite old but still i recommended you this monitor.
