Speed loss over years

Hi Guy's

 

since about the last 6 years (or so) i use my PC (i7 4790K, overclocked and watercooled) for image and Video editing. Average Temps are between 65-75°C

My Question is; how moch Speed does the CPU lost over the years in such environement? Should i think about get a new one, or is the loss neglibel?

prossesor speed loss over time doesnt exist. the CPU is as fast as it was when it was brand new. 

 

the only thing that might happen is dustbuildup on the heatsink or the thermalpaste going bad. this will increase thermals and might lead to power throttling due to overheating. either way those two things are easily fixable.

 

so no, there is no inherent speed loss over time. this has been checked and verified.

you can upgrade if you want a faster system. but your system isnt slowing down.

software can help in "slowness" sometimes, but temps don't change too much from it...
