laptop bios update

i own a asus tuf fx504 and today i turned it on and it automatically went to ez flash and  started doing bios update just wondering if thats normal because ive never has a laptop or pc automatically do a bios update btw i took out the old hard drive in it and put a ssd if that makes a difference but i dont think that should effect anything

That's a new one on me. I've got plenty of Asus products, never have I had it automatically do anything unless prompted. I have noticed though the EZ Update software in Win will trigger an update if you start one from within the OS. Perhaps this occurred?
