acer nitro not using gpu

My buddy has a Acer nitro 5 laptop. It says it has a i5 with a 1050ti. However his laptop is only running his dedicated graphics, Ive updated nvida driver and still nothing. Whats going on with it?

Try to force dedicated GPU usage in nvidia control panel, choose "high performance nvidia processor" for your primary adapter.

Nvidia Control panel does not open....

Use DDU and do a fresh driver install,if control panel is not opening, i would say its a driver issue then, hence the first problem.

Windows is giving me Code 43 and its disabling the 1050ti

Driver uninstall utility, u can get it on guru3d.com  Thats the first thing i would try to do, and then install latest driver withput traces of the old one, and disconnect from the internet when u reboot after driver uninstall so windows wont automatically download basic ones,and yeah code 43 is usually a driver error.

odd i have an acer nitro 5 no problems like that must be the driver i did have a crackling audio problem fixed it by uninstalling Dolby audio software which was the problem .
