Although the Windows task manager can tell you a lot of stuff, it was not designed to track specific CPU speeds.  It is a "task manager", not a CPU speed watcher.  Therefore, the information about CPU clock speeds in the task manager is not really "up-to-snuff" when it comes to certain different things.  Sure, it can tell you what software is hogging your CPU resources and stuff like that, but tracking CPU speeds is not its strong point.

Software such as CPU-Z was made to do just what they say it will do.  It tracks your CPU speeds and reports it in a way that is very easily understood.

So, stick with CPU-Z when it comes to tracking your clock speeds and you'll do just fine.

Good luck and Happy New Year.

Task manager says my CPU is operating at 800MHz

So uh, yeah

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
