Sometimes, websites may give you different (or otherwise restricted) access based on your location. VPN services are particularly popular in countries where there is a firewall that restricts access to certain websites. So if you are in a country that blocks a website you're trying to visit, maybe using a VPN that's located in a country that does not block that website could be beneficial to you.
