I just got a Rtx 2070 for my pc and my pc currently has a i5 7400 processor. The thing is, cs go used to run at like 180-200 fps on my 1060 3gb and now with the 2070 it runs at 130fps. Now I didn't find this surprising considering my Cpu is kinda underpowered, but when I tried a more demanding game called Far Cry 5, it ran 10x better than before at the highest settings when I couldn't do that before with the 1060 3gb. I don't understand why cs go is running at a lower fps and Far cry and BF5 are running way better. Please help and if you need more clarification about this, ill provide some if I can. Thanks!

What's your monitor resolution/refresh rate?

Probably just reinstall windows to eliminate any software issues.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I just got a new monitor as well, I have a 144hz monitor running cs go now. I kept both monitors and am using both for the same pc, one 60hz for maybe a open window and the 144hz for gaming.

If it's still in the return period, Vega 56/1070ti has basically the same performance and is closer to $350 instead of the $500 on the 2070 just as an FYI.

But probably just start by reinstalling windows, you could also try only using one monitor as well just to try it
