It was amazing as soon as i purchase that 1080 Ti they decided to stop making them O what a coincidence, selfish bloody manufacturers, i not going to wait around 10 plus years to purchase Quadros, now all i need 64 or 128GB of DDR4 Ram and AMD 2990WX TR4 or i9 9900K CPU o wait as soon as i purchase 64GB of Ram manufacturers would stop making motherboards and CPUs, they would put the spanner in the works they would stuff me over should i purchase next DDR4 3466 corsair Dominator platinum 4 x 16 GB or CPU, yeh thats right as soon as i purchase DDR4 3466 Dominator platinum 64GB manufacturers will stop making them.

Don’t you wanna do Ray tracing stuff? The 1080Tis don’t have any tensor cores or ray tracing cores that enable them to render ray tracing

Also, you decided to buy the 1080Ti AFTER the next generation Turing cards were released, and you expect that Nvidia continues manufacturing last gen cards. DDR4 would be here for a few more years until AMD or Intel introduce support for DDR5 in the next few years, so DDR4 will continue to be manufactured for a few years. the Next Gen Threadrippers likely will come Q4 2019, and next gen consumer Intel processors are rumored to come Q4 2019 too. If you need to wait 10+ years to buy a graphics card chances are there are gonna be much more advanced tech by then, so don’t just focus on one product, keep an eye out for new and more modern products that you could use.

Well i don't have the money for RTX banks will never loan me money i will never finish by the time i save 10990 for a Quadro RTX 6000 things will get out dated and bad reports on RTX 2080Ti GPUs bursting into flames pixel dots all over monitor, so i have to settle for that 1080Ti until i finish building pc and until i save up 22000 for running Quadro RTX 6000 in SLI i chosen nexus mods which require SLI configuration, i had that 1080Ti since January 2018, using a 1200 dollar center link advanced payment, because banks and financial companies are very selfish that 1200 watt power supply since August 2018, now the next component i save 1600 dollars by April 2019 get another 1200 dollar center link advanced payment to bring up to 2700 dollars and purchase from Scorptec a AMD 2990WX TR4 32 core CPU, so work out how much longer it will take, i finish paying in the year 2021 a 5 year 18000 dollar Radio Rentals lock in contract then by then Quadro RTX 6000, and im only on a pention.

Sorry, you left out some years of your finances.

No rush, I can wait.

Which would be better value a i9 9900K CPU or a AMD 2990WX TR4 32 core CPU?

Depends what you do. If your work requires single thread/core performance, the 9900k will probably do better for it’s price. If not, then the 2990WX could be better. Take a look at the i9 7980XE/9980XE since it has good single thread/core performance and 18 cores. It may benefit you more
