First Time Overclocker Help

Hey, haven't posted in awhile but I felt like asking for some help.

So I have watched a lot of tutorials on GPU overclocking and most people say its relatively safe with Pascals Bios so I decided to do it but have a few questions still left unanswered.

 

-GTX 1070 Strix OC

-i7 6700k

• To start is it okay to keep adaptive mode on my power management as I do not want my GPU clock constantly at boost?

• Next question is about fan curves; is the fan curve okay? I haven't had an issues with my temperatures on Valley benchmark, firstrike, or any other games and they stay below 65 degrees Celsius. (this may be a silly question so sorry, i'm just a noob)

• Last question is spikes like in the photo below are okay right? I expect this is when I launch chrome (with hardware acceleration) and watch youtube etc.

Results-

In the end I am happy with my results (5-6% increase) but any recommendations would be appreciated thanks

 

Thanks for taking the time in reading, sorry if these seem like really noob questions or silly but I just would like to be 100% sure and educate myself further in overclocking to have more confidence in the future.

well, it's good to keep everything under 80 degrees, so you're fine. just turn up the voltage if you can't get it stable, you might be able to go a bit higher

Yeah, I thought about pushing further but the voltage seems to be fairly maxed out at 1062mV. I am happy with it for now and think I should leave it as it is stable. Whenever I tried going over +110 I would get instability even with voltage % @ 100.

One more question fan speeds are okay to ramp up and down like this

Your fan curve looks slightly weird. Strix has beefy cooler so it doesn't require very high fan speed to run cool. My fan curve maxes out at 39% and 1450RPM which is quiet and max temperature under 100% load (OC) is 68°C. If I open the side panel of the case temps will drop down to 65°C.
