Bad Performance, High End PC

I have the below specs

I7 4790

Vega 64

16GB DDR3

Thermaltak smart see 730w

Lg ultrawide 2560x1080 @80hz

Am having bad gaming experience, low FPS and huge FPS drops in almost all games, even low profile games.

Drivers are up to date, fresh copy of windows, no viruses or malwares, no thermal throttling, all set to high performance.

What I noticed that playing DX12 games are relatively better and get higher FPS and stability like shadow of the tomb raider and the division.

However many other games don't run smoothly like, Mass effect Andromeda, Ancesters legacy, sudden strike 4, blitzkrieg 3, company of heroes 2, wildlands, far cry 5, watch dogs 2. All of these game I sturggle to keep steady 60FPS and in some scenes I get FPS in the 30 and 40 specially in strategy games like CoH2 , sudden strike. My cousin and you usage are always low, max in the 80s for you and 50s for the CPU.

I ran shadow of war, shadow of the tomb raider, strange brigade, BO4... Smoothly at 70FPS average at my 80hz screen.

I paid too much for not being able to run 10GB games.MVIMG_20181208_162915.thumb.jpg.9c60b9c70c9993bca1606342e55a4af5.jpg

Try rolling back to the last stable driver because AMD has both a stable and experimental driver option in their settings. Also, try restarting your PC, try closing other programs if you haven't, and finally, try downloading a few stress-test or benchmark programs such as furmark, cpu-z, or cinebench and monitor your frequencies, usage, and thermals to see if there are any abnormalities. It can be a wide variety of things, but I'd start with the drivers and a reset. I know I've had problems with experimental AMD drivers before.

Tomb Raider and Black ops seem to indicate that at least this isn't a bottleneck issue, since those games would be running poorly if it were.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
