PC slows down after a couple of games

I changed my OC settings on my R7 1700, b350 tomahawk, and gtx 970. I usually get like 230 FPS first game of CSGO, but second game my var fluxiates around and usually stays around 130 (I use 144hz). What could be causing this? Overheating? Overuse? Drivers are updated too.

I had a 970 that only had a single fan and would retain heat between games, what make/model is the card and can you check the temps on msi afterburner?
