Help! Gaming Monitors?!?!?!

Bobbette

I’m looking to purchase 2 gaming monitors as a gift for Christmas. However, I’m not very tech savvy and really need help. I’d like it to be 4K. And thanks to YouTube I found ASUS VP28UQG 28”. The person I’m giving this to currently has an ASUS VN247H. Is this a good buy or is there a better option out there???? I’d really appreciate the help ❤️

Welcome to the Forums!

I've been using an Asus PB287Q. In simple terms, it's really good.

He said he wants 4k, but yeah, you should consider refresh rate.

If you're willing to step down to 1440p 144Hz IPS, I'd recommend the Acer xf270hu. Plus you can get them dirt-cheap refurbished with a warranty either at Newegg or this Staples listing I found:

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.8Ghz w/ Arctic Freezer 33 Tower Cooler | MSI B450 Tomahawk |  32GB Crucial Ballistix DDR4 3200MHz CAS 14

Sapphire RX 5700XT Pulse | EVGA 650w GQ 80+ Gold Semi-Modular  |  XPG SX6000 512GB Nvme SSD | NZXT H500

Acer XF270HU - 1440p 144Hz Freeesync IPS | Corsair Strafe - Cherry MX Red  |  Logitech G502

Y'all have been very helpful! I now know to look at refresh rate! I've watched a couple videos including Linus's ASUS ROG Swift PG27UQ video. However I need to buy 2 monitors and $4000 is a ton of money! Even though it's a beast of monitor!!!! I was looking at the BenQ EL2870U... I'd preferably like to stay under $1000. Thank you for all your help!!!! Please send anymore suggestion! We have a ton of time before Christmas ❤️
