hey guys, just got my rx590. switched from my 1060 3gb. im used to the manual download where u select ur gpu etc and it gives you the driver.

but here on amd, i cant figure it out, it gives me this auto detect thing. when i launch it says its called amd software it goes to a setup which downloads the software every time. then it says the components are already installed.

have i installed the drivers or not? if so where can i find the amd control panel, just as there was with nvidia control panel?

Right click on the desktop and there'll be the option for the Radeon control panel, or there should be a small radeon logo in your taskbar, same as with Nvidia drivers.

Restarted the PC? And then after that, option still doesn't show up if you right click on the desktop?

yes. stil dont see it

Weird... the control panel will sometimes crash for me, but I can always open it from the right click menu on the windows desktop. I assume it's not installing properly, mebbe try a DDU and reinstall?

These should be the drivers: https://drivers.amd.com/drivers/beta/win10-64bit-radeon-software-adrenalin-edition-18.11.2-nov19.exe (that's a direct link, here's the page too: https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/radeon-500-series/radeon-rx-500-series/radeon-rx-590)

You can run it with the internet cable unplugged (reccomend doing that anyways after using DDU so windows doesn't install derpy drivers, espesh since it's a new GPU and it may install the wrong ones, IDK) to make sure it's installing from the file and not downloading anything.
